This combo-activity combines two tours located outside Krakow. A shuttle bus leaving from the city will bring you to the sites and bring you back to Krakow at the end of your visit.

The Wieliczka Salt Mines were operational for almost seven centuries before closing in 1996. During this period, more than 300 kilometres of tunnels were dug into the depths of the earth. When exploring this huge mining complex, you will discover remarkable corridors, underground lakes, excavations, chapels and a set of statues and engravings carved by miners over the centuries. The Michałowice room, a reception area measuring 36 meters high and located 109 meters deep is one of the most striking examples of the scale of the mining operations.

A professional guide will explain in detail all you need to know about the history and secrets of this unique site and take you down to the first level of the mine located 64 meters underground.

Auschwitz-Birkenau is the infamous site of the concentration and extermination camps that were built there by the Nazis in 1939. This visit is an exploration of Nazi history and the cruel fate of the victims of the Holocaust. It was initially used as a concentration and slow extermination camp before becoming a mass extermination centre of the Jewish people (who made up 90% of the camp's victims). The number of camp victims is estimated at 1.1 million, most of whom were executed in the gas chambers.

Your tour will take you through the original camp complex, as well as the important Brzezinka (Birkenau) sites. Again, a professional guide will be on hand to detail and deepen your knowledge of this sad period in history.

With your skip-the-line tickets, you will enjoy privileged access to the sites and museums on these excursions.
