Colosseum, Dungeons, Arena Floor & Ancient Rome Guided Tour

On the day of your visit, please be at the meeting point 30 minutes before the tour's scheduled time. Present the voucher that you will have received by email to your guide. The tour starts at the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater in the world. It was the epicenter for the city's entertainment, hosting all kinds of games such as gladiator battles and exotic animal fights. It could hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. You will have access to the Arena Floor, passing through one of its famous arched Porta Libitinaria. This was the exit door for the 'losers', who were more often than not dead. Head in and get the extraordinary opportunity to stand on the arena's stage, just like a gladiator. Your guide will then take you to the dungeons, the underground part of the Colosseum, with its rows of dark, foreboding corridors that once held wild, ferocious animals like lions and leopards. The visit ends at the Colosseum's third level, where the highest seats in the arena were located and from where you will enjoy an "imperial view" of the Colosseum!
