  • Description

This tour is by air-conditioned coach leaving from central Paris. It takes you to the heart of the scenic Loire Valley. First stop is at the breath-taking Château de Chambord, the largest of the Loire Valley's castles. Inside you'll discover its famous double-helix staircase, rumored to have been designed by Leonardo de Vinci himself. You'll also get to see the opulence of its many sumptuous rooms.

At Cheverny, you'll be visiting one of the most beautifully furnished châteaux of the Loire Valley. It possesses an important collection of 17th-century furniture. Learn how it inspired the design of Marlinspike Hall (Captain Haddock's country residence in the Tintin series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé.)

Last but certainly not least, Chenonceau is the second most visited castle in France (after Versailles). It is famous not only for its breathtaking design and beautiful surroundings but also for the prominent women who have resided there down through the castle's history.

If you're traveling between November 1st and March 31st you will be treated to a traditional lunch and drink. Outside of those dates, lunch is not included but your guide will have plenty of excellent recommendations on where to eat.

NB: On Mondays and Saturdays, the tour visits Amboise instead of Cheverny.
