Versailles Bike Tour

Come and spend the day exploring Versailles by bike, with its magnificent Palace and extensive gardens. Versailles, a town built during the reign of King Louis XIV, was the seat of political power from 1682 until 1789 before becoming the cradle of the French Revolution. Versailles has also played a considerable historical role on numerous occasions. The Treaty of Paris which ended the War of Independence was signed here in 1783. The Palace would be used again for the signing of the Treaty of Versailles at the end of the First World War.

You will be met by your guide at a pre-arranged location in Paris before setting off together for Versailles. Once on site, you will be provided with your bike which you will keep for the duration of the visit. There is no better means of transport for crossing the vast grounds of the Palace and exploring its many tracks and wooded paths. Getting to Versailles and the return to Paris are all included in the tour. First stop of the day will be the city market! After that, we will head to the Hameau de la Reine, or the Hamlet of Marie-Antoinette as well as a visit to the Small and Large Trianon. Inside you'll be able to visit the royal apartments, the very famous Hall of Mirrors with its three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors, as well as all the many Palace rooms that are open to visitors.
