Famous for its rich collection of impressionist art, the Musée d'Orsay is one of the most beautiful museums in the world. You will also be dazzled by the beauty of the place: a majestic palace-like train station inaugurated for the Exposition Universelle (World Fair) of 1900. The Musée d'Orsay, inaugurated in 1986 on the left bank of the Seine, has the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings in the world.

The museum is known worldwide for the diversity of its exhibitions and collections. Many different forms of artistic expression are exhibited here including painting, photography, architecture, and sculpture.
