From Amsterdam, take a shuttle bus to visit the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, also known as the “garden of Europe". Each year, the gardens plant more than 7 million bulbs including, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, lilies and more than 800 different varieties of tulips. A local guide will introduce you to the different varieties of flowers as well as the horticultural science behind the flower growing that the Netherlands is world-famous for.
Children are not left out and there are many activities to keep them happily occupied including a maze, a zoo and even a treasure hunt. You'll get to meet a traditional cobbler who will demonstrate how the Netherland’s famous wooden clogs are made. There's even a miller to explain everything you need to know about the country’s famous windmills, now an inseparable part of the Dutch landscape.
