Then it's up to the Palatine Hill with its breathtaking views over the city. Following the visit to the Colosseum, Forum Romanum and Palatine Hill, your walking tour of Rome starts. Your guide will take you to the city's most iconic sites like the famous Spanish Steps that descend to the Fontana della Barcaccia. There will be a stop of course at the Trevi Fountain before visiting the Pantheon, the most ancient of Rome's temples that's still standing. You'll continue on to the Piazza Navona, one of the most famous piazzas of the Roman Baroque period and the site of the magnificent Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers) by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Along the way your guide will explain all about the city, its history and its culture, its lifestyle and its food and will take you to a typical gelateria where you will get the chance to taste some traditional Italian ice cream.
