Description
Discover St. Peter's Basilica at the heart of the Vatican, the most important building in the Roman Catholic world.
Built in the early 16th century on the site of the Circus of Caligula and Nero, where the first pilgrims came to worship St. Peter, the Basilica is now the largest church anywhere in the world. This holy place is home to the tomb of St. Peter, the first pope in history. The Basilica was carefully decorated by the greatest painters of the time, including Raphael and Michelangelo.

Access is free for children under 7 years of age.
Reduced price (€14.50) for children between the ages of 7 and 17.
Download the "Vox City" app so you can enjoy the audio commentary during your visit. The meeting point is - facing the Basilica - on the right side, OUTSIDE St. Peter's Square just in front the Vatican Post Office. Take the dedicated entrance with our staff members and scan the QR code you’ll find there in order to download the audio guide program.
Audio commentaries are available in the following languages: English, French, Spanish, Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Korean.
Access may be refused for not respecting the dress code. Shoulders need to be covered and shorts and tank tops are not allowed.
