Description

Located in Amsterdam, the site includes 220 paintings, 500 drawings, and 800 handwritten letters. In addition, there is a library of nearly 24,000 books retracing the painter's history and, more generally, art in the 19th century.
The works presented at the museum cover the main periods of Van Gogh's artistic life, from the Netherlands to Paris and Provence. The exhibition area also houses paintings by other artists who influenced or who had influenced the Dutch painter.
