With our expert guide, discover beautiful Montmartre and the majestic Sacré-C½ur Basilica both overlooking Paris. Built at the end of the 19th century, the Sacré-Coeur is located high up on the hill of Montmartre, one of the City of Light's most authentic districts.

You may have to climb 270 steps to reach the basilica but the view is worth it! Enjoy a magnificent panorama over the whole of Paris, with the stunning view taking in some of Paris' most beautiful monuments like Notre Dame, the Opera Garnier, the Pantheon, and the Eiffel Tower to name just a few.

Still accompanied by your guide, continue your visit inside the basilica and contemplate one of the largest mosaics in the world. Located in the apse, the Mosaic of Christ in Glory represents the risen Christ surrounded by the Saints who protect France. After the Basilica your guide will take you to the village of Montmartre. This neighborhood of Montmartre has always stood apart from the rest of Paris, not just as the large hill in the city's northern 18th Arrondissement, but as the home to artists, revolutionaries, and outsiders who have played an important part in the unique history of Paris. These streets hold wild stories and a unique perspective around every corner and the Place du Tertre is one of the most famous squares of Paris. There is no neighborhood more magical than Montmartre. You will then be taken to the famous Place du Tertre, where you can admire the painters or just take it easy in a typical Parisian café while watching the world walk by.

Guide conférencier excellent, Montmartre est beau et très fréquenté, mais la Basilique du Sacré Coeur en vaut la peine. Chaudement recommandé.
